GROWING UP IN AFRICA

 Growing up in Africa, which is widely known as a developing continent there is still the need for us to change our mentality. We face challenges such as food insecurity, political instability, poor technology, and high rates of unemployment. As youth, we saw the need for giving motivation and acting as role models by creating employment, promoting zero hunger, reducing poverty, promoting agricultural markets, and reducing crime rates among the youths. First and foremost, the creation of employment has been our major aim as young people in Africa. This is because before we joined campus we faced unemployment and this motivated us to be job creators rather than job seekers. We started small business initiation which we employed a few youths in the society. We had a small grocery store that supplied the neighborhood with various vegetables and fruits and in this small business, we employed at least two people. Their role was to supply the groceries. The cold and the snow affects the people and every day they wish that summer would approach. Courage can be defined in this case as the issue of perseverance and having the strength to venture into this cold weather as you patiently wait for a tomorrow full of sunlight.
